Who is the source of your strength? Maybe it’s your physical strength, money, or you can even say it’s your family. Many people say, “ My family is the reason why I keep going forward” or “ My kids are the reason I keep on living and fighting in life.” Many breast cancer survivors whom do not know Jesus can tell you that they found strength in their family members, and that they are the reason they are still alive. Jacob, the bible says that used his strength to sit up on his bed when Joseph came before him. But who gives you the strength?
Jesus told the Samaritan woman, “But whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” When we speak of water we speak of the living word of God. And I say living because God’s word is alive, it does things in your life that you will have never imagined, as you take those promises in the word and make them yours. Philippians 4:13 “ I can do all things in him who strengthens me” so instead of relying on your own strength let Him do the work, He does it best. Your marriage, business, or even school may not be going as planned but He wants to be your inner strength. Many people think that as long as they keep flapping their wings they will keep on going, but the sad truth is that without God in your life you will get to the point in life where nothing will satisfy you, not even your own physical strength because all you do will never be good enough for you. Why you ask? Because there is no one that can do things perfect but he who made you perfect in His eyes. He is the only person who we are able to say that was perfect while here on earth. He wants to be the one guiding your life, but sometimes we as humans think we can do it ALL alone. The Psalmist spoke these words “ But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
Let Him take the steering wheel in your life, give Him your inner strength, so that He may be the source of your inner strength.
